I started blogging for adoption.com back in Feb 2006. This is my 275 blog. There isn't anything magical about the number 275, but I thought it was time to introduce myself again.

My name is Angela. I am blogging on Ukrainian Adoption because:

• I enjoy writing.



• I enjoy reading.



• I enjoy helping others with their adoption experience by sharing mine.



• I enjoy the small amount of pay. Yes this is a paid position. Nancy Ashe is the editor. When there are open blogger openings she posts them on her blog.

• I enjoy helping my darling daughter's old orphanage. It is called Green Forest Orphanage or Zeley Gai (there are many other spellings too like Zeleni Gay) Specialized Orphanage. My small amount of pay goes to help my daughter's orphanage. I have a 9 to 6 job that pays my bills.

And for anyone who is confused... I am a blogger not a newsman, news person..... whatever the right term is. I recently received an angry comment that indicated confusion about this point.

I am generally talking about my opinion or rumors. If I believe something is fact, I will provide link to a news source. And by the way, I don't consider ForUm to be "an influential informational analytical resource". It is an interesting source of news and opinion. But I don't think it is a solid unbiased source.

I first became involved with Ukrainian adoption email lists/support groups in 1999. And I adopted Natasha from Ukraine on Dec 5 2000. She was 3.5 years when adopted. She is now 9.5 years old.



Because of my 7 year involvement, I bring historical perspective to my Ukrainian adoption blog. But this doesn't mean my opinion or rumors are always accurate. I highly recommend taking anyone's opinion (including your adoption agency or facilitator) with a grain of salt.
