I last blogged about this heritage weekend in February. It is June 16 to June 18 and while it is sponsored by the Ukrainian National Association, people from the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington DC will be there. If you want a chance to ask questions face-to-face, this is a good opportunity.


If you are going, you need to reserve a room now. There is a wedding at the Soyuzivka Resort during that weekend too.

Dear Adoptive Parents:


The Embassy of Ukraine to the Unites States of America and the Consulate General of Ukraine in New York are pleased to invite all families that have adopted Ukrainian children to a special weekend to be held at a beautiful mountain resort on Father's Day Weekend June 16-18, 2006. This will give you an opportunity to meet other adoptive parents and to discuss issues of common interest. What is even more interesting, you will do this in an ethnic Ukrainian resort where you will have a chance to experience the cultural background of your children, and taste the superb cuisine of the country.


On Saturday June 17, 2006 the official program will begin with registration in the lobby of the Main Building. Members of the Embassy and Consulate staff will be there to greet you and meet with you. In the evening a dinner is planned with a program of Ukrainian folk dance and music.
