I am so torn about this... Torn between anger and sadness. The evils that man does. There are no words.

John Krueger was found guilty of molesting 3 boys in late November 2006. He is a 53 year old single man who has adopted from Ukraine several times. I believe his first adoption was in 2001.

He was charged back in April 2006. And the case immediately caught the eye of Ukrainian adoption officials. And forUM posted John Krueger is accused of molesting four adopted boys form Ukraine.

It was this case that drove Ukrainian politicians to try and make single adoption illegal. Legislation was voted down and single adoption is still legal.

John stated that he is innocent and is appealing.

I exchanged emails with John Krueger over the years. And it just feels weird that I know him. It is like he was too close to my family. And I didn't know about him.. who else is out there?

John was charged with molesting 4 boys. He adopted 3 of the boys. The 4th boy was a friend of the family. All 4 boys were adopted from Ukraine.

On November 29, 2006:

A motel owner was convicted of molesting three boys who were adopted from Ukraine.

John Krueger, 53, faces up to life in prison for his conviction Wednesday on five counts of lewd or lascivious acts on children who ranged from ages 7 to 11.

A Kern County Superior Court jury acquitted him of molesting another Ukrainian boy who denied being fondled by his adoptive father.

Deputy District Attorney John Lua said the boy who denied the abuse unsuccessfully tried to silence two younger brothers for fear of being sent back to the Ukraine.

Defense laywer Gregory Mitts said the two adopted boys were pressured into accusing their father by overzealous counselors and investigators. Krueger will appeal, Mitts said.
