Rob and SallyAnne started a
blog and then.... strangely decided to
post comments rather then blog entries. They hosted a boy via
Frontier Horizon. They decided to visit him in Odessa in July 2006. They asked about their appointment while in Ukranie. They didn't get any information.
But after returning home Rob and SallyAnne received a letter with September 7 2006 appointment date. Their court hearing was September 22 and they are now waiting the 10 days. Then they can pick up their son. Yeah!
The
Diddles family is in Ukraine. Their appointment was September 25, 2006. They went to Ukraine to adopt 2 boys they met via a penpal program. One of the boys wasn't available....... and for some reason their second dossier was never transfered from the NAC to SDA. So it looks like they are just adopting the one boy. If you want to adopt 2 children typically you need 2 dossiers.

Les and Patricia are Canadians who thought they would be traveling in October due to their registration date. With the shuffling... and the SDA taking the last 2 weeks off in October, they won't be traveling.
And it looks like Alice has given up on Ukraine. Here is her b
log on why she is leaning toward adopting from Russia. She has a point some folks have been waiting 3 years... But I honestly think this is rare. I know more people who have been waiting 2 years for an appointment. Estonia seems to be an interesting option for some families seeking an older child.
This family recently started
blogging. They hosted some older girls over the summmer and would like to adopt them. They hope to submit their dossiers in early 2007. The children are from Odessa so I assume they were hosted via
Frontier Horizon.
RUMOR ALERT: The SDA may accept new dossiers in November. But this will be only for older children or exceptional cases. And maybe they have already done this. We are talking about 1 or 2 families... maybe for a child that is almost 16 years of age.
