The Jack-o-lantern above is from last weekend. Natasha enjoyed the “slimy” feel of pulling out the seeds and scrapping the inside of the pumpkin. Then she drew the face. It is a happy face in case you are wondering… It is yelling with joy.
This weekend, Natasha had her BFF (Best Friends Forever) for a sleepover. They are both 9 years old. They put on fake nails, dressed up and played teenager.
It is funny…. when Natasha was 5 years old she wanted to dress up and pretend to be an adult. Now her goal is to be a teenager.
They watched a movie about cheerleaders and spent some of the evening making up cheers. I think both of them need a little help with the rhyming but they seemed satisfied so I let them be… let them play.

Natasha and I cooked Lasagna this weekend. We had a blast. She loved grating the Romano. I enjoy making the sauce from scratch… well almost. I don’t make my own tomato paste or noodles, etc…
I have been very curious about making my own pasta. But so far I have resisted buying a pasta machine.

And we played in the dark. I had forgotten how much fun it was to be outside in the dark… with nothing to do… and no place to be.
My job was to watch and appreciate the hand stands and backbends. Go Natasha… Yeah Natasha.

Wonderful to meet you all. I am a 45 year old woman living in Marfa, TX, really interested in adopting an infant from Guatemala. I am overwhelmed with all the agencies and worried that I might pick the wrong one and get ripped off. Does anyone have suggestions for which agency to pick? Does it need to be in the same state you are in?
thanks, Karen
