Friday I
listed charities that help Ukrainian orphans. I briefly discussed some of my
volunteer work. Today I want to list specific activities that you can do.
All of the charities will accept cash. But there are some creative ways to turn every day activities into a donation.
First Suggestion: Go Shopping
Go to
igive. Select a charity that helps Ukrainian orphans. Start shopping. Up to 26% of your purchase will go to the charity.
If you live in the UK you can help
Northern Ireland International Children's Charity by shopping at
buy.at or
ushopugive.com
CRY in England has clothing
stores.
FRUA wants to help you buy
some books from
amazon.com.
The United Orphaned Children's Fund of Pennsylvania would like to sell you
their movie about Ukrainian orphans.
Life2Orphans would like to sell you a
shirt.
Second Suggestion: Eat and Drink
CRY in England has a coffee
store.
Do you eat Cheerios or Campbell’s soup?
orphan's bright star would like to talk to you. They turn
box tops and
labels into cash.
Third Suggestion: Make It
Life2Orphans is asking for handmade
knitted or crocheted hats. They are trying to provide every orphan with a hat. They have produced 4,508 hats so far.
Ukraine Orphans accepted the donation of
75 handmade blankets.
Fourth Suggestion: Frequent Flyer Miles
Many charities like
His Kids Too! ask for the airline points to help with staff's travels. And you may be able to transfer award points for hotels and credit cards to the charity too.
Fifth Suggestion: Company Matching Donation
If you do donate cash many companies will match your donation. Don't forget to ask for it.
